[Filterable Gallery]

Show your work by category in a clean, filterable gallery that takes minutes to set up.

  • No portfolio post type. Create groups, upload images, and the filter buttons appear on their own.
  • Filtering and the lightbox are built into the element, so it only loads what the gallery needs.

Example 01

Masonry for mixed shapes

Tall towers and wide interiors keep their real proportions, and each column fills from top to bottom. The filter buttons here are restyled as a quiet underline.

Example 02

A lightbox that respects the filter

With Commercial selected, the arrows step through those three images and nothing else. Escape closes it, and keyboard focus stays inside until it does.

Example 03

Two columns on a phone

When the buttons do not fit on one line, they wrap onto a second row instead of scrolling out of sight. The tiles drop to two columns, set separately from the desktop layout.

Filtering and the lightbox are built into the element, so it only loads what the gallery needs to sort and show your photos.

What you can build

One gallery, sorted the way visitors think.

  • Evening reception, Lake Como
  • Exchanging rings, Lake Como
  • Golden-hour portraits

Photography portfolios

Split a body of work into weddings, details, and events so couples and clients go straight to what they came for. Captions can name the venue or the client.

  • Stoneware bowl, sage glaze
  • Amber glass dish
  • Charcoal linen runner

Product ranges by collection

Group product shots by collection or material and let shoppers narrow the view with one click. It suits makers and small studios without a full shop.

Work samples by project type

Architects and agencies can sort projects into residential, commercial, or any type they use. Masonry keeps tall elevations and wide interiors uncropped.

FAQ

Fancy Filterable Gallery questions

No. There are no posts to create. Add a group, give it a title, upload its images, and that title becomes a filter button.
Yes. Add the same image to each group it belongs to, and it will show under both filters as well as under All.
Only the filtered ones. If a visitor is viewing Details, the lightbox arrows move through those detail shots and stop there.
Grid crops every tile to the same shape, which suits uniform sets such as products. Masonry keeps each image at its natural height, which suits mixed portrait and landscape shots.
Filtering and the lightbox are built in, so it only loads what the gallery needs. The filtering and lightbox are part of the element itself.
